bondi harvest

another excellent aussie all day cafe

There’s this a thriving exchange between Australia and Los Angeles and no one here is mad about it because that means beautiful Aussie cafés all over LA with real life Australians and their cutie accents taking your order. Bondi Harvest features all-day healthyish dining featuring seasonal produce and excellent coffee in a laid back, beachy environment.

There’s plenty of brekkie options, as well as more lunch-y bowls and sandwiches. They also have a selection of natural and sustainable wines for when you’re ready to trade coffee mugs for wine glasses (or to grab a bottle to go). And all of this enjoyed in an airy space that almost transports you far away from the beaches of Santa Monica to Bondi beach.

Note: The original location is now a different establishment (Bluey’s Market), and Bondi Harvest has moved to the PLATFORM in Culver City.

good to know

Go here for: breakfast, brunch, lunch and any coffee needs

Order this: sweet halloumi toast, rainbow bowl, flat white

Amount of time to spend: perfect for a casual dine-in meal and stay to hang out for an hour or two

When to come: weekend brunch times tend to get pretty busy, but generally calms down in the afternoons

Parking: at the platform can be a little dicey, the lot is often full even without a free period. If you’re lucky you may be able to snag one of the few meters behind the mall.

Other things to note:

  • They have happy hour from 4-7.
  • There’s indoor and outdoor seating (and on nice days they open it up so it’s one big lounge-y space that spills into the PLATFORM. If you’re just grabbing coffee to go, you can also go sit in the central area or at one of the public tables in the complex.
