Can we just take a moment to appreciate good hotel restaurants? Like, just because the resturant is situated adjacent to a hotel lobby doesn’t mean it has to be a shell of a restaurant. Thankfully, Somerset goes above and beyond as a hotel restaurant to the point that it’s a popular place for non-hotel dwellers to go.
Located in the Viceroy Hotel, right in the middle of what locals fondly call “viagra triangle” in Gold Coast, Somerset is a trendy alternative to the steakhouses it neighbors. Their cocktail menu makes you feel posh but their food is midwestern at heart (aka hearty enough to offset that alcohol). All in all, an upscale version of American comfort foods that just so happens to be situated in a swanky mid-century-ish hotel lobby.
