a poppy pink LA favorite for coffee
LA has no shortage of darling coffee shop franchises, and yet somehow we have room to accommodate them all, and an insatiable demand for more. Coffee Commissary has locations scattered throughout the city, extending from the west side to the valley, and yet every single one is usually full on a given afternoon. The pops of pink, quirky details and frankly questionable brush font all somehow add up to a solid coffee hang. A classic that has become an accepted part of the LA landscape. Nothing that is overly special, not hyped, but a mainstay that locals know and love and return to again and again.
Coffee Commissary is a reliable choice for a place to get some work done, and you’ll generally be in good company. Each location has a different vibe reflective of the neighborhood and crowd. Some are great for meetings, others for a working lunch. All are good for a stop by coffee for the road.
