butler

oh you know, just another breezy brooklyn café

Butler is basically what everyone deserves to have as a neighborhood cafe. A breezy all day spot that serves up quality espresso drinks (they serve Intelligentsia), a solid selection of house-made pastries and a curated pretty much anything you’d care to eat for a weekday breakfast or lunch that will fill you up without weighing you down.

Butler is the kind of place that thrives on Instagram. The space is designed for bloggers and influencers to post without being asked. The takeaway cups are simply branded but very photogenic. But it also functions beautifully as a space for locals to grab a bite or have a coffee while catching up on work. It gracefully straddles the line between café and fast-casual, one feels just as comfortable grabbing a seat as you would grabbing food to go and perhaps walking over to the nearest park with a panoramic view of Manhattan (they even have a cute-as-a-button takeaway window built for summer Saturdays). Not that Brooklyn needs more trendy cafés, but Butler has the format down and we’re here for it.
