A decent indie bookstore is the last thing you’d imagine to exist on the WeHo strip of Sunset Boulevard. But when it comes to reputations, Book Soup lives up to its address. The store has been around for decades, long enough to count a lot of famous names in their clientele.
Despite the hype, they maintain a diligent reputation filling their shelves with tens of thousands of books and records. Most of their collection is in the fiction and art realm, with handwritten notes and recommendations tucked into the shelves. Sure they lean into their Hollywood pedigree but you can also be sure to find autographed books from famed authors. Also, what says LA icon as much as having a (coveted?) spot in LAX’s Tom Bradley International Terminal.
