It’s officially summer. May is long awaited. The moment when it is undeniably warm, warmer by the day, the hours of sun longer each day, knowing those coats can be put away for good until fall. May actually started off really unpleasantly cold and wet. I started the month off trudging from the Brooklyn Museum (night?? ) through the rain that was not quite hard enough to warrant an umbrella but more than enough to soak through my hat, finding refuge in a bowl of ramen. And then hiking up to LIC for some Asian soup dessert. I ended the month picnicking in the refuge of a tree’s shade, trying not to move so much to break a sweat.
things that are / in /
— hoarding cold drinks that span from caffeinated to carbonated to get through WFH days
— making froyo / ice cream (blood orange vanilla with salted orange blossom honey drizzle)
— farmers market walks 🙂
Took a weekend escape out of the city, into the vast fields of Storm King Art Center. Braving the already intense humid heat of early summer as we picnicked and walked among the oversize sculptures in plein air. Just the right amount of culture and outdoor activity for city dwellers.
like the rest of the world, it was a lot of harry styles.
also, stranger things.
also also, personally, british crime shows – ended up going through marcella, the bodyguard, anatomy of a scandal, collateral, criminal:uk.
