Coffee and plants, a perfect pairing. Especially for the demographic that hangs around north Brooklyn. To say Homecoming is equal parts plant shop and coffee shop would be misleading. It’s more like two parts plant shop to one part coffee shop, but they take both roles seriously. And to be honest it’s more design concept boutique than any of those (I mean, just look at that vanity Instagram handle).
Homecoming is the type of shop you can’t help stopping into whenever you walk by, whether it is to grab a caffeinated pick me up or to peruse the plants, build a bouquet, pick out a gift, wonder if you need another house plant or a new planter to add to your collection. So just go ahead and give yourself permission.

Go here for: a cup of coffee for the road, a house plant, a cute bouquet
Order this: your go-to coffee order and a cute plant
Amount of time to spend: 10-15 minutes for a quick stop, an entire afternoon for coffee to stay
When to come: all the time for a quick stop, a sunny day for coffee to stay and sit outside
Getting here: for Greenpoint take the G to Greenpoint and walk a block over to Franklin; for Williamsburg take the L to Bedford and walk a block up and over to Berry
Other things to note: The Williamsburg location has a patio out back that makes for a nice hang out spot or a working coffee session (though they don’t have wifi). Greenpoint is more of just a shop (that has coffee) than a cafe.
