high low beverage company

the vietnamese-inspired cafe and bar you want to be hanging out at on a warm summer day

2024 Update: High Low sadly closed at the end of January.

High Low Beverage Company is the Brooklyn ideal of a third place. As in, an all day cafe bar. It is bright, airy, plant-filled. Clean, minimal designs in a cozy space with indoor and outdoor seating. It opens in the morning, serving coffee and Vietnamese-inspired pastries and bites, and seamlessly transitions into day drinking bar mode with craft beers, natural wines and cocktails. It feels casual, laid back, like a community gathering spot that you can park up at for hours on end as friends join over a leisurely weekend afternoon. But it also feels like the kind of spot where you can pull up on a weekday and get some work done with a coffee (or a beer for that matter).

The beverage menu covers a lot of ground from caffeinated to alcoholic. The food menu ranges from snacky to lunchy to even now serving pho and bun bo hue for dinner. They also do happy hour on weekday evenings. The perfect third place.

good to know

Go here for: offee, drinks, snacks, and hanging out

Order this: pick your poison of coffee (they use beans from Sey), beer (they have a bunch on tap and even more in cans and bottles), or wine, and definitely some food to pair

Amount of time to spend: honestly you could spend a whole day here, but definitely great for 2-3 hour drinks with friends

When to come: weekdays are pretty chill (except maybe sunny Fridays when everyone decides to hang), peak hours are generally mid afternoon into the evening

Getting here: just a block away from the Myrtle – Wyckoff L and M station

Other things to note:

  • They have weekday happy hour from 5-8 with $10 cocktails $12 wine and $5 draft pilsner.
  • They have patio seats out back, and some outdoor tables in the front.
